Lowndes looking for revenge

September 21, 2007

Valdosta -- The Lowndes football team will have revenge on its mind tonight, as the Vikings host Central Gwinnett of Region 8-AAAAA.

Lowndes is looking for its third win in a row, and also looking for payback from last years 11-7 loss in Lawrenceville.

The Viking defense has been playing strong, allowing just about one touchdown a game, but will have its hands full with a Knights offense that averages almost thirty points per contest.

Head coach Randy McPherson says, "They got a great defense, they run the spread offense. We're going to have to play well, we're going to have to get better. The kids know it, and they're up for the challenge. To have a chance to compete and get things straight from last year."

Tonight's game kicks off at 8pm in Valdosta.
