Leesburg - A softball team needs a dominant pitcher to have a chance at winning a championship.
And Lee County certainly has one in Brittny Dennison.
The Lee County junior threw a perfect game in the Lady Trojans 11-0 win over Thomas County Central Tuesday.
Dennison had 11 strikeouts in a game that lasted only five innings due to the ten run rule.
It is Dennison's second no-hitter of the season after he threw an eight inning no-hitter against Berrien.
Brittny said she didn't know she had a perfect game working until a teammate started to tell her but then realized that was bad luck.
Brittny Dennison said "The last time I had a no-hitter going and somebody said something and somebody got a little blooper in and so I figured that is what is was. I thought it was just another no-hitter. I wasn't thinking about a perfect game."
Head coach Lynn Avery said "Against Berrien County and Central, she has been very dominating. She struggled at the beginning of the year but then most pitchers do getting back into the groove."
The Lee County softball team is off to Augusta to play six games this weekend at the Greenbrier tournament.
