September 19, 2007 Fitzgerald -- Seventy-three-year-old Alvin Vernon Giddens was riding his 1994 Honda scooter east on Lincoln Avenue near Lynn Drive, when he was struck by 18-year-old Kayla Renee Johnson.
Johnson told police she was blinded by the sun just before 7:00 and never saw Giddens.
No charges have been filed and an investigation of this fatal crash continues.
