Bainbridge-- Albany-born, and raised in Bainbridge, 22 year-old Janet Mills has been selected as one of the 13 finalists in the reality tv show America's next top model.

Her grandmother Janet Bell says some aspects of the competition might seem a bit foreign to a south Georgia girl.  "I just hope she does the best she can, presents herself the best she can and I know that there will maybe be some strange things that she has to do in the process, but we'll just have to root her on , that's it," says Janet Bell.

Mill's image can already be seen on New York City billboards and in magazines. The 7th season of the modeling competition, hosted and produced by Tyra Banks premeirs Wednesday night.
