Thomasville-- If you've been thinking of donating some of your time, this weekend might be the perfect opportunity to do some volunteer work.   Saturday is the 4th annual Hands on Thomas County Day.

The group, which pairs up individuals with organizations in Thomas county that need help. Saturday they need volunteers at 28 sights, doing all sorts of projects.  

"We need all sorts of skills. With that many sights, there are skills needed at each one. We still have spots available for volunteers. Last year we ended up with over a thousand volunteers which is like one out of 40 of Thomas Countians," sas Jo Ann McGrotha, HOTC Executive Director.

Past projects include cleaning up Cherokee Lake Park, and helping out at the resource center. This year they'll also work at 8 local schools.
