Atlanta -- 15th-ranked Georgia Tech came up short in its showdown with number-21 Boston College Saturday night, as the Jackets fell 24-10 on their home field.
Sunday morning, they also fell out of the Associated Press top 25 poll.
Tech allowed Eagles QB Matt Ryan to throw for a career-best 435 yards, while Jackets running back Tashard Choice managed just 31-yards on 15 carries before heading to the bench with a hamstring injury in the 3rd quarter.
The Jackets are now 0-1 in the ACC, but head coach Chan Gailey says he doesn't think the loss had anything to do with easy wins in their first two games.
"We just didn't play as well as we are capable of playing," says Gailey. "If you want to play at the end of the year, you gotta go play every week. Week in, and week out."
Georgia Tech plays at Virginia next week.
