Athens -- A week after the loss to South Carolina, the Georgia Bulldogs stared across the field at the perfect opponent in Western Carolina.
The Football Championship Subdivision Catamounts were on an eleven-game losing streak, and were giving up close to 50-points per game.
The Bulldogs took full advantage, and pounced on Western Carolina for a 45-16 win.
Matthew Stafford was an economical 14 of 20 for 174 yards and two TD's passing, while freshman Knowshon Moreno ran for 94-yards and his first touchdown.
Moreno says, "It felt good to get the monkey off my back, after not scoring in the other games. We just did a great job today, offense and defense."
Senior running back Thomas Brown adds, "Anytime you have a loss, the teams going to be a little down, but at the same time, we weren't devastated. There's a lot of football left to be played. We have a chance to come back next week and redeem ourselves in the SEC, and we're looking forward to that."
Georgia will go on the road for the first time next week, as they visit 16th-ranked Alabama.
