Albany restaurant to reopen after burglary

September 13, 2007

Albany -- An East Albany restaurant owner says she will re-open Friday, but she'll have to rely on fans to keep things cool.

Thieves stole the central air conditioning unit from Jackson's Food Service Sunday night. Doris Roddy says she can't afford to stay closed any longer.  She says the theft really hurt her and her business. Roddy said "A lot because I am a single mother, and this is the only income that I have coming in, so that means I can't pay bills."

Police did find her stolen unit on Mulberry Avenue Wednesday, but it's not yet been re-connected.
