Albany -- The Monroe football team is playing another big out-of-region game this week, as they host Northeast Macon.
The Tornados comes into the match-up with two wins on the season, while the Raiders have played just once.
That game a 33-22 win against Dougherty.
Monroe and Northeast Macon squared-off early in the regular season last year, with the Tornados taking home a 24-13 victory.
The teams also met in the first round of the state playoffs, with Monroe winning by 22.
Tornados head coach Charles Truitt has seen plenty of the Raiders, and knows their strength.
"Good passing game," says coach Truitt. "They have one receiver who has already committed to the University of Virginia, and have a good quarterback, so they pass the ball all over the field, and have a good offensive line as well. Their strength is throwing the football, but they do a lot of things offensively and defensively."
The Tornados host Northeast Macon Friday night at 7:30 pm.
