Albany -- The Albany State football team had a big win in its conference opener against Kentucky State, and the players reaped the rewards Monday from the SIAC, with four Rams named Conference Players of the Week.
Junior Demetrice Johnson is the Newcomer of the Week, averaging over 12-yards per carry, including a 55 yard touchdown.
Blocking the way for Johnson was Offensive Lineman of the week Marcus Pressley.
Freshman Patrick Cuff is the Special Teams player of the week, with a 46-yard field goal now on his resume.
Sophomore Defensive back Mario Fuller had seven tackles and an interception against KSU, and is the SIAC co-defensive player of the week.
The Rams return to action at Stillman Saturday.
