Pedestrian hit in Moultrie dies from injuries

Moultrie -- A pedestrian hit Thursday in Moultrie has died from his injuries.

Fifty-nine year old William Lee Smith was transported to Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville where he died Saturday.

Moultrie Police say Smith was struck by a Dodge Caravan while he was trying to cross West Central and West Sixth.

David Anderson was driving that Caravan and Moultrie Police wouldn't say Sunday if he will be charged.

Funeral arrangements for William Lee Smith will be announced by Strong Funeral Home.
