Albany - - Grandparent's Day is this weekend and one Albany elementary school continued an annual tradition Friday by recognizing them.
Sylvester Road Elementary invited grandparents to spend the morning with their students.
Several came out to watch their students in class and even eat lunch with their grand children. One grandparent says it's an event she never misses.
"They're happy. They're always happy to invite me because they love me. It gives me something to look forward to," says Gussie Smith.
Grandparents received a special token of appreciation for coming out.
