Valdosta - If you were to close your eyes and picture an all-conference defensive lineman in your mind, you would probably envision someone who is tall and strains the scale.
Valdosta State defensive end Travis Harrison would not fit the prototypical mold for a defensive lineman.
Harrison is 5'8" tall and barely hits 200 pounds in weight.
But the Jesup native was a first team all-Gulf South Conference selection last year.
The undersized Harrison has made a living of getting the best of bigger offensive linemen.
That happened last week when he had 2 1/2 quarterback sacks against Albany State.
Travis Harrison said "It is tough. But the challenge, I just like the challenge of going against people bigger than me."
Valdosta State is on the road Saturday at Fort Valley State. Kickoff is at 5:00 p.m...
