Moultrie --    Police say someone is calling people asking for donations for body armor for the police department, and officers say it's not legit.

The Moultrie Police Department, in fact most police groups, do not solicit by phone for donations for items like body armor.

Police became aware of the scam when a captain's family member received a call.

Officers say if you get a call, don't give out any personal information, and call police to let them know.
