Dougherty County -- An Albany newspaper carrier came face to face with an armed robber early Monday.

Just before 2 AM Monday, Bernice Brown was on her Albany Herald delivery route on Virginia Avenue when a man with a gun accosted her.

He pointed the gun at her and demanded money, but she sped away. She was not hurt.

Tonight, police are looking for the man. He was wearing a red skull cap and driving a white SUV with fog lights.
