Valdosta -- The defense of the Albany State football team looked great in week one, giving up just one touchdown to Division 1-AA North Carolina Central in a 16-10 win.
Things were much different in week two.
The Rams traveled down to Valdosta, and were shelled 41-3 by the Blazers.
Head Coach David Dean earned his first win in his first game with VSU, while Albany State drops to 1-1 on the season.
The teams waited through a two-hour lightning delay in the first half, with the Blazers leading 10-3.
The 6th ranked Blazers would dominate when they returned to the field, and led 27-3 at the half.
Albany State returns to action Saturday at home against conference foe Kentucky State, while Valdosta State travels to face Fort Valley State.
