Albany -- Some South Georgia families got a treat Thursday at the Albany Museum of Art. About 30 people showed up for the first "Family Night Out" Movie Screening.

They got to watch a free showing of "Night at the Museum" starring Ben Stiller. Even the popcorn was free.

"We just wanted to offer the kids an opportunity to welcome them back to school," said Director of Marketing and Development, Calandra Jefferson. "We'll celebrate education with the families, teachers and the museum as well because its an educational oasis."

The Albany Museum of Art plans to have more movie screenings, about once a month. Most will be planned around future exhibits or featured artists.
