Albany -- A Cairo man is charged with torching his own car outside an Albany theatre.
A scorched hulk was all that was left of the 2007 Honda. The car's owner, Jack Walker, was arrested about 3:30 Thursday afternoon, and charged with felony second degree arson.
On August 18th, the car was found blazing behind the old movie theatre. He told Police that gang members had painted graffiti on his car the day before.
Investigators say he was trying to collect insurance money on the $20,000 car.
