Albany--  The current Mrs. Albany wants you to call her Mrs. Commissioner.

In front of supporters, family, and friends, Lou Easter Milledge Hardy announced she's running for the Ward 4 Commission seat.

The former banker says she thought long and hard about running and felt it needed to be done. She wants to improve living conditions throughout the city.

"I'm ready and I'm trotting a path that I've never been down before and I know with the support of my family and friends and the community, together we can win," said Hardy.

Hardy is from Lee County but has lived in Albany for more than 20 years. She's running against Roger Marietta for the seat currently held by Bo Dorough who is running for Mayor against incumbant Willie Adams.
