Americus-  From a city that still undergoing its own storm recovery, John Edwards used harsh words to describe the government's response to Katrina on the second anniversary.

Edwards criticized the government's role in the continuing recovery effort in New Orleans saying the ninth ward looks no better today than it did two years ago. He said the government allocated 90 million dollars toward recovery assistant and its hard to see where it's gone.

"The only changes you see are a result of good people, faith based groups, charitable groups volunteers who have gone to New Orleans to work to help you don't see the government, in fact you don't see any sign for the government," said Democratic Presidential Candidate John Edwards.
