Morgan -- The investigation into a multi-county heavy equipment theft ring expands.

A day after we reported the seizure of hundreds of thousands of dollars of machinery in Calhoun County, four other agencies contacted the sheriff Tuesday.

Worth County Sheriff Freddie Tompkins even traveled to Morgan today to meet with Calhoun County Sheriff Jim Camp about stolen equipment from his area.

A 6-month investigation led to one arrest of Vernon "Red" Walker, but investigators expect to make more arrests and find more stolen property.

So far, Calhoun County investigators have seized equipment stolen from Putnam, Jasper and Randolph Counties.
