Deerfield-Windsor guard picks Clemson

August 27, 2007

Albany - Deerfield-Windsor guard Andre Young began his college visits over the weekend.

Those visits ended after just one stop.

The three time GISA all-state guard committed to Clemson after visiting the campus over the weekend.

Young was also scheduled to visit Butler University and Wichita State but found what he was looking for at Clemson.

There he has a chance to play in the nation's premiere conference, the ACC, and it is close enough for his family to watch him play at Clemson and on the road in conference.

Andre Young said "The fact that I am going to be playing in the ACC is mind boggling. I am looking forward to the challenge."

Andre Young has already scored more than 1000 points in his first three seasons in high school and has led the Knights to two straight final four appearances.

The NCAA early signing period for basketball players is in November.
