Donating To Non-profits Just Got Easier

August 27, 2007

Albany - - Donating money to area non-profits in South Georgia is now just as simple as logging on to the Internet.

www.GoodSearch.com is a search engine, just like google or yahoo. Every time you use it, you automatically donate a penny to the non-profit of your choice.

Americas Second Harvest in Valdosta participates, as well as Andrew College in Cuthbert, and Dougherty County Schools' Literacy Program and Communities in Schools Program.

"There are a number of reasons people will go online but when they search, what if during that search they can raise money for an organization they're committed to and believe in - without any effort, without any money out of their pocket," says Lynn Borders with Dougherty County's Communities in Schools program.

At the end of the year, the non-profits receive a check based on how many people used the search engine.
