Thomas County - A Thomasville man was shot and killed during a fight Saturday night.

49 year-old Anthony Pierce was shot in a rural area on Ponder Spur Road in Thomas County.

Investigators say Pierce and 37 year-old Charles Mitchell were fighting at a party. When the fight was broken up, the two agreed to meet again.

Mitchell got a gun, returned and shot Pierce.

He's charged with murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
