Albany  --  The mayor and commission seats in wards 1, 4, and 6 are up for election. Ward 1 commissioner Jon Howard and Ward 6 Commissioner Tommie Postell both plan to seek reelection.

Ward 4 commissioner Bo Dorough plans to go up against Mayor Willie Adams for his spot.

For the November elections, voters must have a photo ID. You can get one free by stopping by Voter Registration.

"At this moment, the law says you have to have a photo ID, something with your picture on it," said Elections Supervisor Carolyn Hatcher. "If persons don't have one, they can come on in and we'll be glad to give them one."

Acceptable forms of Picture ID are your driver's license, passport, or a military ID. If you aren't sure if your ID will work, just call voter registration.
