Moultrie  --  A man wanted for a string of store break-ins has been caught in Colquitt County.

Twenty-two-year-old Jason Baird was arrested Friday afternoon, hiding out in a house on Darbyshire Road in Colquitt County.

Baird is charged in a string of at least five store break-ins in four counties. We showed you surveillance video last week of two guys breaking into a store in Mitchell County.

Last Friday night, they got caught in the act breaking into a store in Mitchell County and took off. Police believe Jason Baird was the driver who led them on a high speed chase into Dougherty County where they crashed on Antioch Road.

They jumped out and ran and when police searched the car, they found Jason Lee Baird's driver's license. Police subsequently arrested the owner of the car, Amanda Brooks, a 911 dispatcher in Colquitt County, who's Jason Baird's girlfriend. They also arrested his brother, Stephen Baird.
