Valdosta - The Valdosta Lowndes Chamber of Commerce kicked off Impact 2012 Thursday.
They hopes to raise nearly two million dollars over the next five years to expand businesses, workforce development, and entrepreneurial development in the county. "The Chamber and Impact 2012 goal is to take what is already here, our citizenry, our jobs, our student population and make what we have better," says Chamber board member Jeff Hanson.
They say IMPACT 2012 will result in nearly 15 hundred new jobs and an annual economic boost of 95 million dollars.
