Knights have speed to burn

August 22, 2007

Albany - Deerfield-Windsor head coach Allen Lowe has a lot of starting positions to fill on both sides of the ball.

Perhaps the biggest void will be left by quarterback Paul Reese who Lowe conceded was more than 90 percent of the Knights offense last year.

The good news is that the Knights will replace their quarterback with three fast running backs.

Sophomore Tony Zenon, Andy Clack and Lee County transfer John Smith can break a touchdown run every time they touch the football.

The man who will be handing the football is junior quarterback Tommy Forrestal who Lowe knows can throw when needed.

There are concerns on defense with nine starters lost but the Knights hope their talented backfield will give other defenses enough problems to make it back to the GISA playoffs.

Head coach Allen Lowe said "Last year we had one weapon. This year we hope we have got a few more than just one. That makes you a better football team if you have got more possibilities."

Deerfield-Windsor faces a tough season opener August 31st at George Walton.
