Ashburn -- Turner County will be a young football team this year, but expectations remain high after last years region championship.
The Rebels won ten games last season, and advancing to the second round of the state playoffs.
Turner County has about thirty players back, but just five starters on each side of the ball.
There will be many new faces on the field this year, getting their first taste of live action in a scrimmage Friday night.
The starters the Rebels are bringing back play some key positions, especially on defense, and head coach Eric Soliday says that's been the strength of the team so far.
"We've got all our linebackers back," says Soliday. "Anytime you have your linebackers back, it makes the transition pretty smooth on that side of the ball. Offensively, we've got our quarterback back, which always makes thing a little bit better there. The experience we have at key positions is probably our strength for right now."
Turner County hosts Fitzgerald in a scrimmage Friday at 7:30 pm.
