Crisp County -- A New Jersey truck driver has been charged with 2 counts of vehicular homicide after his 18-wheeler struck and killed two Hispanic men walking along the emergency lane of Interstate 75 in Crisp County.

A Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team investigation lead to Beasley's arrest after the August 13th accident claimed the life of 26-year-old Jose Mario Hernandez and 46-year-old Vega Miguel Garcia.

Their car had broken down along I-75, east of Cordele. Police say they were walking to get assistance.

Harold Beasley has been released on bond from the Crisp County Jail.
