Rams ready to build on last year's momentum

August 17, 2007

Sylvester - Worth County hoping to pick up the momentum they had at the end of the 2006 season.

Head coach Harris Rainbow's first season in Sylvester saw the Rams win their final two games and earn a state playoff berth.

The good news is that the Rams have nine starters back on both sides of the football.

Coach Rainbow says the nine returning defensive starters will have to learn a few changes to the defensive scheme.

Those changes plus a year of experience have the Rams looking to get even better in 2007.

Harris Rainbow said "At the end of the season we were playing lights out. We had a chance to win our playoff game. We were just too young and not strong enough to do that. Hopefully, this year we have made up for those inexperiences. Grown up a little bit and we will see what happens."

Worth County opens the season on the road August 31st at Turner County.
