Echols County - The South Georgia Drug Task Force and local agencies in Echols, Berrien and Atkinson Counties seized nearly a half million dollars in marijuana over the last three days. On Wednesday, a drug helicopter spotted marijuana growing in separate locations in Echols County, leading to the seizure of 87-plants.
Thursday, they arrested Charles Griffin and seized 18-plants at his Alapaha home.
They also arrested Jesse Dawson in Atkinson County when they found 8-plants near his home in Willacoochee.
Friday, they arrested Jimmy Roberts, Junior of Willacoochee and found 12-plants at his home. Roberts is the Atkinson County Commissioner for District One.
