Albany -- An Albany man swallowed five pieces of crack cocaine at the Dougherty County Jail Wednesday night.

34-year old Tracy Sanders was placed in intensive care early Thursday morning.

He was arrested for probation violation after a traffic stop.  Authorities say while he was being processed at the jail, he popped five rocks of cocaine into his mouth. He was taken to the emergency room.

Deputies didn't know what he had swallowed until doctor's examined him.
