Albany -- The fourth annual RiverFront Run to raise money for cancer research is coming up in October.
Last year, more than $22,000 was raised from the run. Part of the money goes to a group called Pink Pals, an Americus-based support group. Breast cancer survivors like Beth NeSmith, mentor women recently diagnosed with the disease.
"You want to talk to someone who has been there, done that, and we have," said NeSmith.
"We want to help people in the communities right here in Southwest Georgia and to see this amount of enthusiasm and interest, this is really what we are about as a coalition," Fletcher said.
The 5-K run is October 6th in downtown Albany. If you're not a runner, you can still participate, there's a one mile walk that day also.
