Albany-  More coolers are being filled this week, increasing demand for one Albany company that supplies bags of ice.

The supply in Reddy Ice's storage cooler seems to be melting away. Pallets of ice aren't sitting in this 20 degree cooler very long.

"I do expect it to pick up a little bit. You know everybody needs to cool off, ice is certainly a good way to do it," said Lee Brown, Reddy Ice Acting manager.

Reddy Ice supplies ice chests nationally and has seen the demand rise in the last two weeks. So far this week, the company has had more calls to replenish supplies for various distributors.
