Albany - To draw more people to downtown, Albany Tomorrow is planning First Fridays full of entertainment. Every Friday night, beginning in September, ATI will sponsor the events with musical entertainment and street vendors.

The main purchase is to encourage more businesses to open up in the downtown area. "Thus far we've gotten positive feedback from the downtown merchants as well as local businesses. It's something they've been wanting in Albany for a long time," said Cullena Morman.

First Fridays will be held at the corner of Jackson Street and Broad Avenue on the first Friday of every month from 5-10 PM.
