ATI leader search narrows

 August 8, 2007

Albany --  Albany Tomorrow Incorporated is closer to finding a new leader. Twelve people sent resumes to the search committee. Four finalists will be interviewed over the phone this week for the top position.

Greg McCormack has served as the interim CEO since Tommy Chatmon left several months ago.

Board members say selecting a new leader will continue the momentum of growth in downtown Albany. "One of the phases we will be entering into and that we are looking for in a candidate is how can they pull private developers into the downtown area," said Helen Young of Albany Tomorrow.

ATI hopes to have a new CEO on board by the middle of September.
