A big crowd expected for Rockfest

Albany -- One Spirit, One Body.... That's the slogan of a unique musical festival coming to town.
Porterfield United Methodist Church is sponsoring The Rockfest, a Christian Music festival that will feature six South Georgia musicians, including Elijah Road, the 2nd Mount Zion Gospel Choir, and national recording artist Jeff Deyo.

In addition to music, there will be games and water events.

Organizers hope Rockfest will not only be a fun way to spend your Saturday but will help to bring people together.
"Everybody, even though we don't say it, everybody wants to be able to connect with other people. And so this is a way to brake down those walls and come together as one," says Jeff Lindquist, Worship Leader.

The Rockfest will be held this Saturday at the Fish Camp on Gillionville Rd. Bands begin playing at 3:00PM.
