Teens charged with burglaries in five counties

Nashville - Deputies in Berrien County have arrested two teen they believe are responsible for a string of burglaries through five counties.

Investigators have charged 19 year-olds Coty Benefield of Elko and Christopher Stidham of Nashville with residential burglary and high school burglary.

They say the two stole safes, jewelry and money from multiple homes and the high school concession stand, often hiding their goods in ponds or buried in their back yard.

Deputies say they are believed to be involved with other burglaries in Tift, Pulaski, Thomas, and Houston Counties and face charges in those areas.
