Albany Police Chief says communication lines open

August 7, 2007

Albany -- Albany Police Chief James Younger vows to keep communication lines open with the chiefs of other law enforcement agencies.

Younger and chiefs of six other law agencies met Monday to talk about communication. Younger said they are specifically concerned about child criminals.  "So these officers come in contact with different groups of students, so by sharing information that we have may help them develop leads that help us."

Younger says his department is almost back up to full staff,  and the department will have a greater presence in the community.
