Leesburg -- Two years ago, the Lee County football team won ten games, and the schools first region championship.
Last season was a different story. While the Trojans did advance to the state tournament, then won just three games all year.
Lee County was on the field for their first practice in full pads Monday.
Head coach David Johnson says while he's seen a lot of improvement, they'll be a lot of young players in key roles this season, and nobody's position is safe on the field.
"We told them from the get-go today that every position is open. Even the incumbents that think they have a position need to be put on notice. Anything is possible, and if they don't work hard enough, they may be sitting on the sideline."
Lee County opens up the season at home August 31st against Westover.
