Bainbridge -- One man is in jail, another out on bond after they tried to outrun deputies. Deputies spotted a red Honda weaving on Highway 84 in Bainbridge Friday night. They tried to pull over the car driven by Clarence Tatum, but Tatum and his passenger, Gregory Akins Jr., sped off.
"Threw a large quantity of crack cocaine out the window," said Lt. Chip Nix of the Decatur County Sheriff's Office. "They managed to set up a road block with spike strips. Before deploying the spike strips, the vehicle pulled over to the shoulder, to the curb and surrendered."
Tatum's charged with running from officers. Akins, a suspected drug dealer is charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.
