Valdosta - A warning for Valdosta business owners, vandals and thieves are targeting businesses.
The windows of thirteen businesses were smashed in the old Winn-Dixie plaza on North Ashley Street.
Money, jewelry and other items were stolen from seven of the businesses.
Police believe they may strike again so they are asking business owners to be cautious. "I would tell all residents of Valdosta whether it be business owners or whatever to be aware of any suspicious activity going on around their homes, around their businesses. If you see something suspicious dial 911," says Commander Eugene Bell of the Valdosta Police.
Police are beefing up bike and routine patrols and sending out more officers in unmarked cars.
