Albany -- A Valdosta family is homeless after their home burned down early Saturday morning.

Firefighters were called out to the intersection of Oak and Pine streets at 3:30 Saturday morning.

The family of four was able to escape the flames without any serious injuries though one of the adults did receive minor scrapes getting out of a window.

The cause of the fire to the two-story home is unknown at this time. The American Red Cross is assisting the family.

The fire is still under investigation.
