Albany--For 12 hours today, Cumulus radio will broadcast live from the Riverquarium and take your song requests.

To request a song, you have to make at least a $25 donation.  The money raised from the event will go toward keeping the Flint Riverquarium open in downtown Albany.

To request a song and make a donation, all you have to do is call this toll free number: 1-877-GO-FLINT.

K-Country began its broadcast at 6 AM today.

Recently, the Riverquarium announced it would have to shut down if it didn't receive $600,000 dollars from somewhere.

City and County leaders pitched and pledged a combined total of $550,000 dollars to the Riverquarium.

The Riverquarium still needs an additional $50,000.

That's where this fundraiser comes in.

If the radio-thon isn't your thing, a benefit concert will be taking place at the State Theater in Albany.

It costs only $10 to get in.

The J-Blues band, featuring WALB Jim Wilcox, will be performing.
