Albany - - We're in those hot, humid dog days of summer, but the folks at Chehaw Park want you to celebrate the dog days WITH your dog.

Chehaw will host its first ever Dog Days festival Saturday. You're invited to bring your pets out for a day of fun.

There will be dog training demonstrations, vendors, and awards for cutest dog and best costume.

"We thought what a neat way to connect people with animals by letting the dogs be involved. Many of us have dogs and were very connected to our dogs so were going to do things like have a mutt dog show and have agility trials to show people what some of the more clever dogs can do," says Director Dough Porter.

The event is free with admission into the park Saturday.
