Tifton - - A brutal armed robbery in Tifton early Wednesday morning. Police say two men robbed a convenience store clerk around midnight, took money, and left the victim tied up in front of the store.

It happened at the Lil Pantry Convenience Store on Ferrylake Road in Tifton. Store clerk Nittin Patel says he was closing the store when two men approached him demanding money.

They hit him several times on the head with a metal object and tied him up. Two young people saw the man and called 911.

Hours later, officers arrested three suspects. Police believe 23 year old Erin Nicole Moore provided a get-away car for the robbers.

Police charged 28 year old Joseph Louis Hayes and 35 year old Floyd Stephens, Jr. with armed robbery and kidnapping.

The three suspects also face aggravated assault and burglary charges.
