Albany - - It's used for concerts, plays, and lectures. Now an historic Albany building is undergoing major repairs.
Work on the Albany Municipal Auditorium's roof began last month. City leaders say the old roof needed to be replaced. Your tax dollars are helping make the renovation possible.
"This is one of the Splost five projects that's going on. We did a similar application to the civic center itself so this is where our Splost five dollars are doing good things for our facilities," says Assistant City Manager Wes Smith.
The project is expected to be complete by December. The Municipal Auditorium is still in operation while roof repairs are being made.
