Albany - The South Georgia Wildcats will have a new kicker for Saturday's playoff game at Florida.
The Wildcats on Tuesday signed Scott Hode who kicked one game in last year's AF2 playoffs for the Arkansas Twisters.
The Wildcats hoping Bode will be more reliable that Byoungwoo Yoon who was hitting only 67% on extra points and made just one of seven field goal attempts.
Hode was a highly recruited kicker in high school but played baseball at the University of Arkansas and for one year in the Chicago Cubs organization.
After working out with the team for the last couple of weeks, Hode is hoping to help kick the Wildcats to a championship.
Scott Hode said "It is a blast to be here now. Signed and I get the chance hopefully i can kick this weekend. I can just hope i can get in there and help the team win."
South Georgia Wildcats play at florida in the first round of the AF2 playoffs Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. in Estero. Florida.
