Valdosta - Georgia High School Association football teams can start practicing on Wednesday.
One team ready to start the season is the Lowndes High Vikings. A
fter winning back to back state titles, the Vikings did not make the state playoffs in 2006.
The Vikings are ready to bounce back into title contention in 2007 but it will not be easy playing in the toughest football region in the nation.
Lowndes head coach Randy McPherson "Everybody in the region is tough. Always are. Had a great offseason in the weight room. Hopefully we can get out there and compete."
